No trip to New Orleans, LA is complete without indulging in a genuine crawfish boil. One of my favorites is cooked each evening at Samuel’s Blind Pelican, 1628 Saint Charles Avenue in the Garden District. Happy Hour offers a dozen raw oysters for $3 and 2 1/2 pounds of crawfish for $15. The crawfish is served wit red potato and corn. You can also pair your dinner with a stack of fried green tomatoes that is towered with crab claw and bay shrimp and topped with a great remoulade sauce. If you’re not into crayfish, try the alligator hash.
